The presence of the national furniture and craft industry sector contributes significantly as one of the leading labor-intensive national industries due to its proven ability to absorb a large workforce. However, this sector has yet to be fully optimized as one of the pillars of national economic strength in a substantial and adequate manner. Advancing this industry requires efforts from all stakeholders through innovative programs that can drive the growth of a more advanced and dignified national furniture and craft industry.

HIMKI, as an association of entrepreneurs in the furniture and craft sector in the broadest sense, recognizes its responsibility to foster and develop harmonious cooperation, promote equal business opportunities, and participate in national economic development.

HIMKI was founded based on a shared vision, mission, and goals among its members to collectively advance the national furniture and craft industry. This organization is expected to serve as an aspirational and accommodative institution with a spirit of equality among its members.
